[0:40] Making a constitution involves stages: collecting citizens' views, drafting, debating, and approval through a referendum. [1:25] Parliament debates and passes laws while citizens give views, vote and hold leaders to account. [2:05] Civic engagement is how citizens take part in governance, from voting to peaceful public participation. [2:45] By participating responsibly we strengthen democracy and ensure leaders serve the people.
