[0:40] By reading the map you can spot farming, settlement, transport, trade and forestry across an area.
[1:20] Environmental degradation is the damage of land, water and air through actions like deforestation and pollution.
[2:00] Its effects include soil erosion, loss of wildlife, drought and flooding that harm people's lives.
[2:40] We conserve the environment by planting trees, reducing pollution, and protecting heritage sites for the future.
