[0:00] Worship in Hinduism is called puja. It can happen at a small shrine at home or in a temple known as a mandir. [0:50] During puja a worshipper may offer flowers, fruit, water and light. The diya, a small oil lamp, represents knowledge driving away darkness. [1:40] Ringing a bell, lighting incense and chanting sacred sounds like 'Om' help focus the mind and create a calm, devotional atmosphere. [2:30] The aarti is a special ritual where a lit lamp is moved in circles before the deity while a hymn is sung, expressing love and gratitude. [3:20] Some Hindus also go on pilgrimage to sacred sites, such as holy rivers and temples, to deepen their devotion and reflect on their lives. [4:05] Remember: puja, the diya, the bell, the aarti and pilgrimage all help turn the heart and mind toward the divine.
