[0:00] Hindu teaching offers a set of values that help a person live with honesty and kindness. These values turn belief into action.
[0:45] Satya means truthfulness: speaking and living honestly. Ahimsa means non-violence: avoiding harm to people, animals and the environment.
[1:35] Self-control, called dama, helps a learner resist harmful temptations and focus on good goals. Cleanliness and discipline support both body and mind.
[2:25] Service to others, known as seva, is highly valued. Helping the needy without expecting reward is seen as worship in action.
[3:15] Respect for elders and teachers, and care for guests, are also central. The saying 'the guest is like the divine' shows deep hospitality.
[4:00] Remember: truth, non-violence, self-control and service are values that build strong character and a peaceful community.
