[0:00] Akhlaq means good character and manners, a central teaching of Islam. [0:40] Islam encourages virtues such as honesty, kindness, patience, humility, respect for parents and care for the needy. [1:25] At the same time, Islam prohibits harmful actions such as lying, stealing, backbiting, cheating and harming others. [2:15] The Prophet said he was sent to perfect good character, showing how important manners are in our faith. [3:00] Today good Akhlaq also means behaving well online, avoiding insults and false news, and treating everyone with respect.
