[0:00] Today we look at how short surahs of the Quran carry deep meaning that guides our daily behaviour.
[0:40] Many short chapters revealed in Makkah focus on belief in one God, kindness to others, and accountability on the Day of Judgement.
[1:25] For example, surahs that warn against pride and greed teach us to be humble and generous, sharing what we have with the needy.
[2:15] When we study a surah we look at its translation, the lesson it teaches, and how we can practise that lesson at home, in school and in our community.
[3:00] In this way the Quran is not only recited but lived, shaping honest and caring members of society.
