[0:00] This lesson covers the most important events in the Christian faith: the death and resurrection of Jesus. [0:40] Before His arrest, Jesus shared a final meal with His disciples, called the Last Supper, where He gave them bread and wine to remember Him. [1:25] Religious leaders plotted against Jesus. He was arrested, tried, and condemned, though He had done no wrong. [2:10] Jesus was crucified, suffering death on a cross. Christians believe He died to take away the sins of the world. [2:55] On the third day, the tomb was found empty. Jesus had risen from the dead, conquering death itself. [3:40] The resurrection gives Christians hope of eternal life and inspires forgiveness, love, and the offer of a new beginning.
