<h3>Miracles That Reveal God's Love</h3><p>The Gospels record many <strong>miracles</strong> of Jesus. These were not just displays of power; they revealed God's love and showed that Jesus cared deeply for people, especially those who were suffering or rejected.</p><p>At the town of <strong>Nain</strong>, Jesus met a funeral procession. A <strong>widow</strong> was burying her only son. In that society, a widow who lost her only son lost her security and support. Moved with <strong>compassion</strong>, Jesus raised the young man to life and gave him back to his mother. The miracle teaches that Jesus notices and cares for the vulnerable.</p><p>In another account, ten men suffering from <strong>leprosy</strong> cried out to Jesus from a distance, because their disease forced them to live apart from others. Jesus healed all ten. Yet only one, a <strong>Samaritan</strong>, came back to thank Him. Jesus pointed out that the other nine did not return. This teaches the value of <strong>gratitude</strong>, remembering to thank God and others for kindness received.</p><div class="callout"><strong>Kenyan context:</strong> When a church or class visits a children's home, supports a family that has lost a breadwinner, or welcomes a classmate recovering from illness, they are living out the compassion Jesus showed at Nain. And like the one healed leper who returned, learners can practise gratitude by thanking teachers, parents, and health workers, for example the nurses at a local dispensary, for the care they give.</div>
