[0:00] Welcome. In this lesson we look at how Christians understand creation and the special place of human beings within God's world.
[0:35] The book of Genesis teaches that God created the heavens and the earth and called everything He made good, from the seas and skies to plants and animals.
[1:20] Human beings are described as being made in the image of God. This means we carry dignity, the ability to reason, to love, and to make moral choices.
[2:10] Being made in God's image also brings responsibility. Christians are called to be stewards, caring for the land, water, and living things rather than destroying them.
[3:00] In Kenya this means planting trees, protecting rivers and wetlands, and avoiding pollution so that future generations inherit a healthy environment.
[3:45] As we close, remember that stewardship is a daily duty: small faithful actions, done by many learners, protect the creation God entrusted to us.
