[0:00] An electric circuit is a complete path that allows electric current to flow from a source, around the circuit, and back again.
[0:45] A simple circuit needs a source of energy such as a cell, connecting wires, a switch to control the flow, and a component like a bulb.
[1:35] Current is the flow of electric charge, measured in amperes. Voltage is the push that drives the current, measured in volts.
[2:25] Resistance opposes the flow of current and is measured in ohms. A higher resistance allows less current to flow.
[3:15] In a series circuit components are joined end to end on one path, while in a parallel circuit they are on separate branches.
