[0:00] A quadratic expression contains a term in x squared, the highest power being two. [0:45] To expand two brackets we multiply each term in the first by each term in the second. [1:30] To factorise, we look for two numbers that multiply to the constant and add to the middle coefficient. [2:15] A quadratic equation equals zero, and we solve it by setting each factor equal to zero. [3:00] Each factor gives a solution, so a quadratic usually has two answers called roots.
