[0:00] Integers are the whole numbers together with their negatives and zero, for example minus three, zero and five.
[0:35] When we add a negative number we move left on the number line, and when we subtract a negative we move right, which is the same as adding.
[1:20] A cube is a number multiplied by itself three times. Five cubed is five times five times five, which is one hundred and twenty five.
[2:05] The cube root reverses this. The cube root of two hundred and sixteen is six, because six cubed is two hundred and sixteen.
[2:50] To find a cube root by factors, split the number into prime factors, group them in threes, and take one factor from each group.
